ECHO launches Urban Management

ECHO Urban Management was founded on the conviction that design and process go hand in hand in area development. ECHO has always viewed process-oriented thinking and stakeholder management as complementary to, and reinforcing, the creativity and imagination that underpin design. By bringing a broader range of process and project management expertise under a new name, ECHO Urban Design and ECHO Urban Management now form two halves of the same brain, sharing the same DNA: Design Thinking and Design Doing.
When it comes to spatial development challenges, the key is to determine the right balance between design and process at each stage, with the appropriate focus and level of involvement. Only by striking this balance can an integrated approach and continued progress be ensured. Thanks to its collaborative approach, ECHO Urban Management can make an effective contribution during the crucial early stages, helping municipalities and private-sector parties accelerate area development projects and, in doing so, contribute to addressing spatial development challenges across the Netherlands.
“ECHO has always moved seamlessly between process, strategy and design. With this team of urban managers, we can now offer our clients the added value of a process-driven approach grounded in substantive expertise more effectively and purposefully than ever before,” says Koen de Boo, founder of ECHO Urban Management.
The ECHO Urban Management team consists of sharp-minded, driven professionals who combine expertise in process management and design thinking with extensive project experience at both municipal organisations and management consultancies. With their broad perspective, clear insights, collaborative skills and wealth of knowledge, they keep not only their clients and stakeholders engaged and focused, but also each other.
