Inspiration day during an excursion with the municipality of Harderwijk

On 29 August, we went on a day’s excursion with the municipality of Harderwijk to the GWL site, Westerpark, Funenpark in Amsterdam and the Defence Island in Woerden. This was to gain practical inspiration for the former barracks site that we are going to transform into a residential area. We looked at the low-traffic area, the handling of history, the green and at the same time urban character, but above all the social side of the projects. Because the most important question always remains: “How do we not only make a new neighbourhood spatially, but how is a new community formed for the future?”
