Explore deep fascination
Consciously and unconsciously, the inspirations and references from our built environment feed our design process. It is interesting to see for yourself how far you can stretch within this. If we jointly have the task to design and realize future cities that bring about a new balance between people, nature and the city, it can be good to have the courage to explore your deepest fascinations. These can be utopias, whether or not built dream images, old paintings, art or fairy tales. Let your fascinations sink in and try to analyze them in cross-sectional floor plans and try to document them in a buildable way. This is not about finding the absolute truth, stay free during this exercise and try to use your imagination how you would think it might work, allow new thoughts and ideas to further enrich the work and make it applicable to your own project.
